It turns out they made hydrogen gas for filling weather balloons, just like the Iraqis said.  Not just any old trumped up report, this.  It's an official British government investigation.  Embarassing is hardly the word.

Oh well.  It looks like the CIA has screwed up again.  Their report, issued amid much hoopla, insisted the "hydrogen cover story" was bogus.  See the CIA's report, "Iraqi Mobile Biological Warfare Agent Production Plants"  here.
